Overview

SOHO VIDEO is a premium motion identity project designed to redefine the “opening experience” of visual content. In an era of digital saturation, SOHO returns to the roots of cinema: The Projection of Light. By simulating the actual physical properties of a film projector, we didn’t just design a logo—we engineered an atmosphere.

This system serves as a bridge between the digital brand and the physical sensation of sitting in a darkened theater, waiting for the magic to begin.

The Project DNA

  • Client: SOHO

  • Sector: Media, Motion Design & Cinematic Production

  • Scope: Main Title / Logo Video / Volumetric Light Simulation

  • Impact: Establishing a high-fidelity visual signature for premium content.

01 / The Challenge

Beyond Static Graphics: Capturing the “Soul” of Light.

Traditional motion logos often feel “flat” or disconnected from the viewer’s environment. The challenge was to create a brand signature that possessed Gravity and Texture.

SOHO needed an identity that felt like it was being projected in real-time, occupying a three-dimensional space rather than just sitting on a screen.

02 / The Strategy

The “Projector” Metaphor.

We treated the brand identity as a physical object interacting with a light source.

  • The Narrative: We conceptualized the logo formation through the “transmission process.” This mirrors the heritage of cinema—light passing through a lens to reveal a story.

  • Atmospheric Immersion: By focusing on the “Volumetric Light Scattering” effect, we created a sense of depth that draws the audience into an immersive viewing state before the first frame of the content even plays.

03 / The Craft

Simulated Physics & Volumetric Rendering.

Using advanced physical renderers, we calculated the interaction of light particles as they pass through translucent materials.

  • Transmission Simulation: Accurate modeling of how light travels and diffuses.

  • Scattering Effects: Utilizing volumetric light to create “God Rays” and atmospheric dust particles, adding a layer of industrial-grade realism.

04 / The Result

Defining the Atmosphere of Modern Cinema.

The final SOHO motion system stands as a benchmark for high-end production houses. It is more than a logo; it is a Sensory Anchor that commands attention and elevates the perceived value of any content it precedes.
