“Quiet Among Disquiet” is a sophisticated cinematic exploration directed by the acclaimed Xue Xiaolu, featuring a powerhouse cast including Ma Yili and Wang Talu.
More than a simple credits sequence, the Main Title serves as the film’s intellectual anchor. Our mission was to design a visual identity that captured the friction between internal stillness and external turbulence. We delivered a full-service motion identity that transitions the audience from the real world into the film’s specific emotional frequency.

How do you visualize “Disquiet” without resorting to chaos? The challenge was to create a title sequence that felt heavy with unspoken emotion while maintaining a “Quiet” aesthetic. It required a delicate balance of typography and motion that didn’t distract from the film’s opening but rather deepened its impact.
We moved away from decorative motion and toward Narrative Signaling.
The Contrast Principle: Using negative space to represent “Quiet” and micro-rhythms in typography to represent “Disquiet.”
Cast Integration: Designing a hierarchy that respected the prestige of the A-list ensemble, ensuring each name carried the weight of their character’s importance.
Every frame was treated as a still life. We utilized bespoke motion paths and custom kerning to ensure the text felt like it was emerging from the film’s atmosphere, rather than sitting on top of it.
The final sequence serves as a masterclass in minimalist tension. It has been recognized as a definitive “High-Prestige” opening, solidifying the film’s status as a serious contender in the dramatic arts landscape.
